Hey, guys!

I've only today found out you can do this! So here is the finished sketch. I'll also post the first coloured image.

This is a bit of a break from my usual style, I wanted to try something a bit different.

Can't decide between two images, though. I wanted the background character to look somewhat separated from the foreground one. Like a ghost, or a dream of this young man's future.
However, I think that maybe the second picture is a bit too washed-out. So I dunno. What does everyone think?

If you still have the original inked one, i have another suggestion or angle on it...

But first i must say that i really like the style and that its a beutiful work you have done the young man really does look like he is daydreaming, very calm and so on, great job.

now to the idea i have:

If you fade the "second" person, the older him from the bottom part and upwards instead of like you have it now making his face be pale and the legs part be strong, like in holoimages the legs tend to be a bit fuzzier and not focused, as could this be so that there is a distinct difference in the foreground against the background and it also makes the "older" person look just that more ghostlike dreamapperance.
And i dunno the age of the old versus the young but a classical way of displaying agedifference would also be adding a 2'a'clock-shade or a beard or so.

Well thats my input anyways, as i said before good job and nice pose and all! Looking forward to seeing it totally completed!

One thing you can do to make them look a bit more speparate is tho make a thin white outline or glow around the person in front. At least along the edge that he has towars the back character.

I had been trying to make the 'older' version more masculine for a bit, but decided that the old 'give him a beard' angle was cheating. However, I really like this! Thanks for the suggestion!

Also, I've had a play with the lighting. I kinda like the glow idea. I can't fade him up from the bottom, unfortunately, because it would put out the lighting source for the rest of the picture. Which is unfortunate, cause I like that idea too.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll leave the images up and maybe make a decision by tomorrow.

Cheers,
~ Mercy.
