RPF-12 REPUBLIC FIGHTER POD (mini-rig)

The RFP-12 Republic Fighter Pod was a small fighter designed to launch out of the larger Republic Gunships or Republic Cruisers and offer transatmospheric fighter capacity with minimal cost. It has four cannons, with two multidirectional front turrets and two wing-mounted heavy cannons, with mounting brackets available for the wing struts two hold heavy munitions.
The RFP-12 has three small 'Micro' engines and two thrust-direction vanes, providing a suprising amount of maneuverability and thrust -- but no hyperdrive capability.
One of the few 'Mini-rig' configurations from the late Republic and Clone War Periods, it offered the Army of the Republic and Jedi a compact alternative to small airspeeders or large, bulky fighter craft.

Here is the second of my new 'Mini-Rig' concepts harking back to the Kenner Star Wars line of the 1980's. It is designed to work as both a fighter and a toy, and is basicly an enclosed seat with engines and guns on it, perfect for your Clone Trooper or Jedi action figure.
