Old Republic Era Jedi Concept
Hello, this is my first post here, so I want to say hello to everyone! Okay now onto my current piece, here it is: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v442/SpartanZypher/Star%20Wars/JediRob... .
I'm really just wanting some feedback and opinions as to what you guys/gals think. The character that this will become is set during the upcoming MMO, The Old Republic (I'm sure you've heard of it). Right now I'm only working on the clothing, and the lightsaber is just a simple placeholder rod. It's a little unconventional, not having the two cloth pieces of the overtunic, and instead having a single piece on the obi. It also has a chest/back brace on the overtunic, which is used to support a chestplate. But other than that it's of the norm.
Being set during The Old Republic, I thought it would be reasonable to have armor, which is what I'm working on now. It's not going to be anything complex, just the aforementioned chestplate, gauntlets and greaves, and possibly a Mandolorian inspired helmet.
Not sure what type of lightsaber and fighting style he'll use, probably a two-handed single blade. So yeah, any advice would be appreciated.
PS: If anyone has any ideas for an armored belt around the obi, I'd love to hear them, it's the only thing I haven't thought of yet.

Welcome to SWAG. My online name is Lord Crumb (or LC) and I am just a art requester here on the site, but is good to have you here.
Your project sounds interesting and I would like to see it when it is completed. I will put my two cents in and say that your Jedi should use a combination of Forms II (Makashi) & V (Shien varient). This way he can combat lightsaber-welding Dark Jedi or Sith and deflect blaster bolts back his opponents. When playing KOTOR or KOTOR2 I generally play a Jedi Sentinel as it balances the Consular and Guardian classes.
The outfit your Jedi is wearing looks great so far as the Jedi did wear armor around the time of the Great Sith War all the way to the Battle of Ruusan.
Once again welcome to SWAG.
