Near-human Antarian Ranger

Lok (not to be associated with the Revenants of the same name) grew up on a remote planet in the Expansion Region, well away from any trade routes of note. It goes by many names, and few care to remember any of them. Its only defining feature is its pervasive black metal sand that, while innocuous on the ground, can make for particularly merciless sandstorms. A notable side-effect, however, of exposure to these metallic dust storms, is that particles will embed themselves in skin, leading to a gradual discoloration of exposed areas over years of otherwise benign exposure, much like a tattoo.

Lok is an Antarian Ranger, and proudly served the Jedi during and after the Clone Wars as a scout, primarily. He, like most in his dwindling brotherhood, will never back down from an honorable fight, even if it comes down to fisticuffs. Pursuant to the aforementioned fisticuffs, Lok wears particularly capable wrist gauntlets; on each is mounted a retractable vibrodagger. These heirloom gauntlets are easily disguised as stylized bracers, as the blade, when retracted, splits down the middle and sweeps back, each half pivoting out around a shallow knob directly over the wrist, the halves coming to rest in the assembly suspended over the forearm, giving the unit the appearance of a winged insect at rest, the canted angle of the 'wings' being similar to that of the cuffs of a pirate jacket, if that makes sense. When in this retracted state, they are nigh indistinguishable as weapons, as most wrist-mounted blades simply retract directly into the wrist assembly.

Lok himself bears a metallic blue skin discoloration on his hands and forearms that eventually fades away at his elbows as a result of his youth on his home planet. His people are a Human evolutionary offshoot, bearing black eyes and sclera, quite the opposite of, and much cooler than, those of Arkanians.

He has a tall, athletic frame, clothed with a loose-fitting, earth-tone martial arts gi over a blue Antarian flight suit.

I can provide further explanation; the wrist gauntlets may be hard to visualize, let alone put on paper, but I can talk till I'm blue in the face, or maybe provide some sketches, if I've been too vague.

Thanks for reading; I look forward to his player taking his first step into a larger world, with your help.
