From Asok's request:

... He stands (that's right, stands) on two mechanical leg appendages attached at the waist (assuming he had one to begin with). A bulk of the lower/back half of his body was destroyed in a terrible accident, as well as minor damage to other parts. Now he has a partially computerized brain, a cybernetic eye, and mechanical legs...

Right now, all I have is basically... a Hutt-ish blob on some sort of walker/exoskeleton thing.

I'll post up a few more initial ideas over the course of this week.

(I'm still in the process of finishing Lord Crumb's Selkath Sith Lord, but have decided to let that one rest for a few days. In the meantime, picking up another request doesn't seem to be such a bad thing to do. Given real life busy-ness, this one ought to be finished after the Selkath, in about 10-12 days.)

Selkath Sith Lord, WIP #3

I was able to work on this today. It's about 3/4 of the way. I've posted three pics so we can see the progresssion. Basically, it's all about massaging that head into place, adding detail to the area, getting it to look halfway believable on that body. The last pic is rushed and overdone but is close to what I feel the final should look like (i.e. sharpness/detail mostly on the head and upper torso area, everything else will be somewhat sketchy).

Selkath Sith Lord, WIP #2/Initial Sketch

I wasn't feeling all that good about my first composition/sketch (here: http://swagonline.net/node/3343). So, more sketching and finally it's all coming together somewhat:

More Force Wave/Scream action + debris (whee!). Robes sorta coming together. Values sorta figured out. More emphasis on female-ness of the character (but yeah, she has a big head, all selkath Sith lords are like that). Et-cetera.

Selkath Sith Lord, WIP No.1/Initial Sketch.

Pushed some digital paint around and I have this so far: the character cutting loose with her Force Wave as some sort of sonic/telekenetic scream. I probably won't be detailing the background and surrounding area too much. Still not quite sure how those robes will end up. Left hand needs to stretch?

Do Selkath have teeth? Can they even open their mouths that wide? I figure, even if they didn't/couldn't, maybe this one might since she's probably had some Dark Side mutation or something.
