Alians (Elf-like People)
This is a request from Xanamiar for a new species of Elf like creatures inspired by Gelflings from the movie "The Dark Crystal".
These are just initial ideas, the design might change as I work on them.

I started this sketch a while ago and only now felt confident to colour it. I'd always intended to tackle it in the same watercolours as my original Gungan sub, but that isn't really an option any more, however I am trying to retain a similar style and colours.
Pic#1 - Pencil Sketch
Pic#2 - First pass on colours. My old sub picture used for colour reference and also handily gives a sense of scale!
"A Wookiee with a helmet? Laughable"
Well... Laugh it up!
I just had to prove that a Wookiee could look good wearing a Mandolorian helmet (See here). I mean, what doesn't look good in a Mando helmet?*
I took some cues from the armour worn by the Wookiees in Episode III and mixed them up with the traditional Boba-Look. At the moment this is only a sketch, but I'm kinda pleased with the result, maybe I'll run with it and develop it further.

A request for Scrumtrulescent.
A very quick sketch to start with, to give an idea which direction I'm heading in on this one.
*Update - 11th Jan* Pencils, first pass. Little has changed from the initial design, but the lines have been refined. This is close to being ready for colour I think, so if you want changes Scrumtrulescent, please chime-in soon!

Here's a WIP request for Jaymach, A Togorian Weapons Specialist.
Update 20th November: : First colours, still playing with the colour of the pants and costume details. I'm also trying to strike a balance with the black fur, I don't want to make it too dark and yet still dark enough to give the idea that it is mean to be black and not just dark brown/grey.

So it's Friday afternoon, and work is slow so I sneak a look at Swag while the boss isn't around... :)
*Update* My new Master Replica's Stormtrooper helmet arrived whilst I was at work on Friday, and hilarity ensued. A welcome break from the doom and gloom atmosphere of late.
At £60 ($120) from Play.com, I couldn't resist buying this.
Old SWAG Theme Entries.
During SWAG's dark times, without gallery updates or art requests and all that was left was the forum, a faithful few Swaggers huddled togther and tried to keep SWAG's spark alive by running a monthly theme contest. It was an informal affair, there was no voting, no winners and few rules; just an idea mutually decided upon and a loose deadline.
Gathered here for the first time (including some WIP sketches) are some of my entries to those contests...

First sketch for a request from Random Jedi.
I'm designing the droid before I work the cloak over it's frame. My inspiration is the SP-4 and JN-66 Analysis Droids from Ep2. The thought being that the Jedi Order commissioned the training droids from the same source and consequently use similar parts and design.
Gungan Cutthroat WIP
Continuing in my quest to make Gungan's cool/sexy/scary and anything but Jar-Jar-like and inspired by this week's Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day, here is my latest...
