OK. Now I removed thing cause dang it was crowded. Good news, the cast is off. Bad news is,,,,I cut it off right after I bumped my coffee onto the drawing. Everything is peaches though..nothing I haven't cursed at and thrown at least once ever turned out worth a dang.

the new one was solely based on the one I left up, but drawn and shaded with good ol' Bic round stick med pen.( my personal favorite) I think he looks meaner and the hair is better, not having any myself kinda hurts the referance pool a little.
Once again though the problem with drawing like this is...it's etched in stone ( as it were) the second your done with the line( no saving0

OK. Now I have Photoshop again...and permanantly. This is still about my 4th thing to color with it so please...little slack for the slacker.

OK. with my current understanding of Photoshop, I'm stopping here. After doing some other things with it I may return to tune it with better skills. I am extremely sorry for the delay.

Asok

The musculature is really good, but the pose seems a little awkward.

Lord Crumb

Since he is a Arkanian, he should have only four digits. Unless of course he is of the offshoot breed of Arkanian, they have five digits. just an observation.

TheTelos

Yeah, he is part of the sub-species. His father was a pure-blood and his mother was a sub-species. He had a hatred for the prejudice and that is where he started down the path to the darkside.

As far as how the picture is going, I kind of agree with Asok on how the pose doesn't seem quite right. If I may make a few suggestions on how I see him in my head: his eyes still look like eyes, just more like the barrel of the pistol at the beginnings of Bond films; his hair is long and unkempt, similar to Quinlan Vos; and lastly when he stands, he stands with his chest out because he is an in-your-face kind of guy or an imposing figure.
Other than that, I really like it. I like the detail that you are putting into it. If you are having any trouble with the sword, I made a sword for him and you could model it after that in the picture.

And if you have time, put up the others, you've gotten me interested. ;)

CCR

One thing wrong with the pose is the right arm. The elbow should be a bit higher up than it is, as it's slightly behind the rest of the body, so higher up in the picture plain. Right now it looks as if the right bicep is too long. Once that is done, the foreshortening on the right forearm could be adjusted. Picture it as a cylinder or pipe that connects directly to the wrist.

Hope that helps.

Casca1967

All the comments are great. I was aware of the arm, it's almost 2x as long on the upper part as it needed to be. The hair was a homage to my freind Jeff, Half shaved and long enough to put in a ponytail. I am supised that no-one mentioned the one thing I can't get past and look at first...The left hand looks bent inside out or something.

I will give it anoher shot on the pose, I think I will calm down the second scetch I did for the pose and hair....he turned out looking all super sayian on me in my attempt to have the frce just oozeing forth and all.

Casca1967

never really noticed how happy the guy in the second pic looks....hmmmm. New PR for the sith..friendly evil and works well with others.

TheTelos

Wow, I actually really really like the second one. The only thing I can't get past is his jaw. I don't know what it is, but it doesn't look right to me. Other than that, keep up the good work!

Edit: Oh, and I like the robe design on the third one.

Casca1967

sorry. Started to finish #2 but could not get past the fact he looked like he was prepairing to summon the rest of the Thundercats to his side. This 4th one is hopefully a correction to that and the jaw thing. Yes the sword isn't there and the robe is in need of some lovin, but this is to give you the jist. I have a couple days off, and the life of a set of car keys so I can work this through, with your imput.

TheTelos

Wow, that is looking better than I could have imagined. You are doing great. Thank you so much.

Casca1967

OK. Here's the situation. I did break my hand and have nerve damage to my mid finger and ring finger...but. I am impatient. so I started working on it anyway..the cast is a pain in the ***, but i'll manage. My 30 free trial of photosmart cs3 is caputz, and I need to eat so the 999.00 price tag is a no-go. answer....Crayola. sorry TheTelos.

TheTelos

HAHAHA, good stuff man. Hey, don't worry about the quality or whatever. I mean, there are things that come before art and eating is definitely one of them. I can't believe that you are working through the pain man. I applaud you. Thanks for the effort you are putting into this.

Casca1967

Oh don't get me wrong there is no pain. There is MEDS. But I will try and complete. With the guys I game with fast is sometimes more important than magazine quality.

TheTelos

I actually really like the look of what you have done. Crayola should think about making software for their textures if they haven't already.
Maybe the meds will give you a greater insight into the character? Haha, keep up the good work.

Casca1967

Somehow I get the feeling by the time I finish this it will be a darn cave drawing on goat skin, that I will have to walk and hand deliver......See what the dark side has done...

Lord Crumb

I like the latest pic you've done. The tatoos on his body reminds me of Darth Maul. It's kewl.
keep up the good work.

Ok now I need some white out to do the lightning. Once I get a good Rune letter style I'll do the leather hanging off the front. I added the black aura of force and then inverted the colors...I added it because I thought it was cool.

Lord Crumb

That fourth pic is tough looking. It looks as if the the Sith tatoos are glowing when the Dark Side energies flow through his body. Excellent.

TheTelos

Hey, I don't remember if this was me day-dreaming or you actually told me this, is there going to be some sort of sithese writing on those two leathery parts in the front?
