A little watercolor sketch

Hey gang,

Here's a quick 45 minute watercolor sketch I did in my sketchbook of Jynx. It's been a long time since I've done anything with her in a long time and I miss her.

I tried to portray her as an incoming holo image, feeling the full weight of some great frustration. I can hear her voice over the comm saying something like "I really screwed up this time...."

I hope you like it.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Mando64 I work primarily in watercolor media over everything else. While I do mingle with a little photoshop it's not my cup of tea, and I try to keep it limited to coloring in comic pages for online comice.

That said I started this off just like everything else, with the exception being that I left a lot fo my pencil lines as they were instead of erasing them, but this was a sketch. I used a single color (except where I accidentally got a bit of pink gouache in there). Watercolor is mostly painting and learning what areas to leave alone since you can't really paint from dark to light in the sense you can in other media. So I slowly built up a little in the darker sections. It's nice to do this for tone, and I need to apply it to my more colored pieces more. But since this was a holo, you don't see much color in them. The lines are just light washes of blue crapily dragged across the paper. If this was more of an illustration it would be lot more cleaned up. But yeah, that is pretty much the process into this piece.

I also used stock from a model on DA to start this piece, but when I didn't think I needed the reference anymore I stopped looking at it. Mostly I used it for the lighting and hands.
