Young Noghri in Training
A young Noghri Warrior still in training standing at attention. His brow ridges are not completely developed and he still has a number of years left to train before he'll be a true death commando.
On a personal note, this bust is my first drawing submitted to SWAG, and indeed is the first drawing I've done in a very long time. It's not bad and I'm hoping to get better with more practice.
Cool! You've made me see Noghri from a different point of view. One constructive Crit, The pencil lines are still a little visible. If you use photoshop, tweaking the levels a little in the Image -> Adjustments menu can help make pencil lines appear stronger, and with a good crisp eraser, you can do clean-up afterwards. However with all critique, this is strictly my opinion and probably many would disagree. Either way, Cool Pic!!!

The whole image is photoshop, , and I think the colors are more of cover for my lack in the lines, but yeah...

I agree with Drig: this is a fresh, new portrayal of a Noghri that is good to see. I like his soulful gaze. In that respect it reminds me of the awesome Noghri portrait from the New Essential Guide to Alien Species (which I recommend everyone buy if you haven't already).

I have a couple of photoshop techniques that make doing that sort of stuff really easy. If anyone's read my technique to making explosions on the old system, this is essentially the same thing.

It looks great so far but I'd add more color depth and enhance the anatomy. never be afraid to use reference!
