Okay, so here's the Alderaanian Doctor/Bounty Hunter WIP. I hope emimar is around to comment on this...

I've also included a quick sketch of a squad of over-decorated and undertrained soldiers Ubiqtorate has requested privately. Any suggestions for them would be appreciated as well...

Very nice job, so far. The sitting Alderaanian woman is interesting, but her body looks a bit male.. it's probably the broadish shoulders and the lack of obvious bust. But the posture is neat, as is her clothing, and very nice detail on that A-280, too. :D

As for the Rebel squad, I love it, even tho it's only an early sketch. The poses are great, very nicely done!

EDIT: Just noticed the Alderaanian is actually a woman, I had her mistaken for a man earlier.^^

Evan Black

And I won't be adding an obvious bust, as a matter of fact. She is a doctor, and can get by on her wits alone. ;) Hopefully by the end she'll look female enough that she won't be mistaken, though. Good eye on the A-280, too!

Ubiqtorate

Is it a doctor or a bounty hunter? A man or a woman? Alderaanian or...

But I digress. You've got to admit that an Alderaanian doctor/bounty hunter is an odd combination. I looked for the original request thread for this piece, but I couldn't find it on the forums here. Is this also a private request? Anyway, the work is good. Glad to know you're keeping busy.

Now my thoughts on my own private request. Those guys look pretty good. That's pretty darned close to what I had in mind. I'm wondering, though, if we need to do anything to give them any kind of armor (maybe thin blast vests under their clothes, or something). Other than that (and even that's not "I definitely want this" - more like "let's hash this out the next chance we get to talk"), they look great!

Also (more for the benefit of others reading this, since I think I explained it to you before), I'm hoping that in addition to these fellows, there will be the blurry forms of many more such soldiers in the background, as sort of a "Matrix Reloaded" effect, giving the impression of being up against a much larger force.

How do you challenge Jedi characters? Well, we're going to try the "overwhelm them numerically" approach.

Hey Evan, there was no doubts in my mind that this was a women when I first saw it, I think she looks feminine enough without resorting to some busty stereotype, which is a refreshing change. Perhaps the shoulders are alittle broad, but that could just be her padded jacket. I look forward to seeing this coloured, and the other one looks very promising too! :)

Evan Black

Yeah, I played with narrowing out the shoulders, but then they looked too narrow. I think when the jacket is shaded it won't look too bad.

Her posture alone says "female" to me...

The details are great and I'm totally stealing that jumpsuit design at a later date ;)

Evan does it again...

To me like many others i belive, theres no doubt on her sex.

Very fine posture and the look and general feeling of her is really great, and a nice imcorporation of that bactatube aswell

I will most certainly look forward to hearing and seeing more of this, great job so far!

Evan Black

I really liked the jumpsuit design, and am tempted to do an additional drawing (at an undecided date) showcasing this particular bounty hunting outfit. If someone beats me to it, of course. ;)

emimar

She looks great, so far. I like coming up with odd characters, though. Still, anyone remember Dr Evazan? I think you could forgive her when you consider that the Empire blew up her planet - something like that's bound to make anyone go a little nuts.
