Ne'tra Ca

The product of my boredom and trying to come up with an armor design that no one else had.....

ShadowWalker

The creativity in the animal pattern on the armour is really great, same with the torn cloak and posture of her stance, had it been some armour you designed yourself then the picture would have been awsome.

I'm not sure you're allowed to mix stripes and spots. ;)

No, really, this is a great picture, and definitely unique armor. Has anything else been said about this character, or did you make her up just for the picture?

I really like this piece. Why? because its different and it stands out from the normal Mando'a color schemes. The Tiger striping on the armor is very distinctive. I'm willing to bet thats the very reason a Mandalorian or likely a Mando'a clad Bounty Hunter like her would choose such a pattern - be be noticed, easily recognized, and not confused with alot of other nameless bounty hunters.

As I first scrolled down to view the full picture, I immediately thought this was was a Jensaari warrior picture, though lack of lightsaber, and the tell-tale Mandalorian helmet.

The interesting thing is, in one particular issue of Starwars Insider with the Mandalorian feature (darnit, my mags are still packed in a box), the article explained about the meaning behind the chosen armor colors within the Mandalorian culture. The colors were a code system, openly & visibly signifying the wearer's intent and disposition. With that being said, while this female looks like she is or could be a true Mandalorian, I'm not all sure what the variety of colors would signify (white, black, orange, yellow, grey).

Hey Ubi, as for mixing spots and stripes, ever take a close look at Tigers? or tabby cats with mackerel stripping? The black stripes are sometimes thicker and shorter, sometimes almost blotchy on the facial markings. On the Mando helmet, (and i could be wrong), it appears those are stripes, v shaped stripes, and blotchy stripes rather than spotting.

Hey - here's an idea - draw up another character wearing Tiger stripped armor, so draw up a Jensaari , since the culture molds their armors after a chosen animal or beast as per individual.

Pheonix023

First, thanks for all the great feedback!

as to your question....no I just made her up for the pic...I know what the character is like though even though she doesn't really have a story. yeah, stripes and spots....based the whole thing off of some tiger pics though, so I guess thats what its supposed to look like....

Never heard of the Jensaari......although I have been itching to try some cheetah armor.....the other one that would be interesting would be a reptile of some sort....like a cobra or rattlesnake.....hmmm, I should patent those ideas....

Actually, Pheonix023 can have whatever color scheme Pheonix023 wants. I don't think George Lucas will send any stormtroopers over and arrest him (her?). All that magazine stuff, as well as the entire EU, is *optional*.
