Hello,

My request is for my player character in the Star Wars Roleplaying Club (www.starwarsclub.org) and his NPC flame of whom he met during an adventure. Below are their respective descriptions and backgrounds. I do apologize if it's a little long, but it outlines what they've been through so far.

Character Name: Damien Losator
Sex: Male
Species: Human
Age: 26
Homeworld: Alsakan in the Core Worlds
Rank: Flight Officer
Squadron: Blue (an A-Wing squadron)
Character Type: New Republic starfighter pilot

Physical Appearance: Standing at five foot eleven inches tall with an athletic build, Damien has dark blue eyes and raven black hair, typically cut short and slicked back. He would be fairly handsome if not for the serious demeanor frequently present on his face. When not in flight suit or uniform of the day, he typically wears a long sleeve dress shirt and slacks, accented with a leather flight jacket decorated with patches from the previous units he has served in: Blue on his right shoulder as his current unit, and Azure, Distant Sons, and Gold squadrons on the back.

Personality: Cool under fire, yet serious and determined in both his career and off-duty. His loyalty to his friends and comrades run deep, especially in a galaxy where war can (and has) claim the lives of those he respects. He is driven to follow orders with the will to be proactive when no orders are issued.

Objectives: To fight the Empire anyway he can. To watch the backs of his wingmen and if in charge, to bring them all back home alive.

Background:
Damien was once a student from a well-off corporate family on Alsakan during the rise of the New Republic and the retaking of the Core Worlds. Well-educated and studying hard to go to Byblos University, tragedy struck as a trip with his family to Berchest took a turn for the worse. The Empire’s retaking of the Inner Rim world resulted in the death of his parents when the planetary shields fell, and the orbital bombardment commenced.

Young Damien soon found himself caught in the crossfire between the resistance and the Imperial occupation forces. Rather than be killed waiting for the fighting to cease, he joined the group of resistance fighters and was trained in the cockpit of an aging Z-95 headhunter, which he soon mastered engaging Imperial fighters through the crystal canyons of the occupied world. As comrades fell beside him to the laser-fire of TIE fighters, Damien was hardened into an experienced starfighter pilot.

Change moved swiftly and over the matter of a year, the Republic reclaimed the world from Grand Admiral Thrawn’s forces. Eager to continue his fight against the Empire, Damien joined the New Republic Starfighter Corps, where he attended the academy. His skill and tactics during the final simulation against an Interdictor earned himself the rank of Lieutenant, graduating at the top of his class. Shortly after, he was assigned to Blue Squadron under the command of Colonel Cello Mesque.

Blue was transferred to the MC-80B cruiser Nautilus, which received a distress call from a world under assault by Imperial forces. He was thrust headlong into a battle of defense and survival. Watching his several of his comrades killed by the overwhelming swarm of Imperial fighters, Damien held fast against TIE interceptors and Uglies until he himself was shot down, forcing him to crash land on the world itself. Moments following, the Nautilus and her crew stood vigilant as an Imperial Star Destroyer, stricken with heavy battle damage, rammed into it, costing many lives but sparing the world from the threat of orbital bombardment. For Damien, his struggle against the Empire would become much more personal.

Serving in three more grueling campaigns against the Imperial forces, Damien was promoted to Captain, and then finally to Major, becoming the XO of the restructured Azure Squadron. But the pilot numbers dwindled as fellow members left the unit, disillusioned by their previous memories of fallen comrades and the wind-down of the overall war effort.

Damien resigned his commission following the overall cool down of the war and the ease of hostilities, as missions continued in reduction as well as his available flight time. He elected volunteer patrol duty in the Outer Rim Territories in the Distant Sons patrol squadron, in place to combat piracy on the distant trade routes. He qualified on the older Y-wing fighter and relished his new line of work despite the poor pay and working conditions. But a mere three years later, Damien overheard the losses sustained at the Battle of Lianna, and began questioning his place in the galaxy. He found himself longing to serve in the cockpit of the New Republic’s starfighters once again. Returning to the Starfighter Corps after three years, Damien was assigned to Gold Squadron, eager to deal pain once more to the Empire.

Assignment to Gold Squadron:

After mingling with his new comrades in Gold in Downtime and the newly-experienced SFC Formal Ball, Damien was assigned as the temporary XO of the squadron and wingmate to Flight Officer Linn Avlas, a young female Twi’lek pilot. Shortly after the unit was given orders to escort the bulk haulers Chance and Luck to the planet Xian Shu, a world devastated by the Confederacy during Clone Wars that had been selected for reconstruction and resettlement. An ambush in route to the planet and the subsequent space battle with pirate forces embroiled Gold Squadron in an investigation as to who was behind the pirate raids and where the resources allocated to Xian Shu’s restruction were being redirected.

Arriving at Xian Shu, Damien alongside with Lt. Vladimir Zukov were introduced to Captain Toran, the installation commander, and given a tour of the base and its facilities. It was in the hangar where Damien first met Flight Officer Tiera Olm, the chief fighter and armor technician of the base: a beautiful woman with pacifist ideals and of Chandrilan origin. The two hit it off quickly and soon became involved in a romantic relationship.
An attempt to slice Flight Officer Olm’s data terminal prompted Damien to begin an investigation into a possible security link on the installation. Utilizing the aid of a New Republic corporal in computer security division, they determined the slice attempt was encrypted in a series of signals being sent from the installation to the orbiting bulk cruisers that had shipped the supplies. It seemed the pirates had infiltrated the base itself to further their goals.

A series of patrols and subsequent battles revealed the pirates’ intentions: to sabotage and undermine the restoration efforts of Xian Shu, and in turn profiting from the equipment stolen and sold on the black market. Much of their resources are antiquated, dating back to aging Z-95s and Uglies, along with Clone War-era battle droids and associated power generation equipment. Gold Squadron was then directed to destroy the airfields. Dispatched to the airfields, they soon discovered that the Xian Shu PDF had destroyed what remained of the pirate air bases, which had been previously abandoned shortly before the assault began. It seemed that Gold Squadron’s efforts had deterred the pirates’ plans and spared the planet of further disruption and conflict. Returning to the base, Tiera revealed to Damien that he was being transferred back to Blue Squadron and that she received orders to that unit as well, ensuring that their blossoming relationship would in fact continue.

Returning to SFC Headquarters at the Roche Asteroid Belt, the unit was gathered by Major General M’Chelle Chadez in preparation for reassignment. The members of Gold Squadron would be transferred to Silver and continue to fly E-wings under the command of Colonel Ross Hunting, with the exception of Damien, who would be transferred to Blue under the command of Colonel Murdoch, and fly A-wings once more.

Shortly before Damien’s transfer to Blue Squadron, he volunteered to be a part of a decommissioning ceremony for the Mon Calamari Cruiser Cathleen, which had fought in many of Rebellion’s early battles. A tour of the ship and introduction to their temporary quarters would be a mere prelude to what awaited them.

The Cathleen was subsequently forced out of hyperspace by an Abolisher-class Interdictor, which was paired up with the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Tormentor, which had learned of the New Republic’s fleet movements and engaged a strategy to force an inbound fleet into the interdiction field’s path, threatening thousands of lives and potentially the Republic’s war effort. Without active fighters of their own, the crew of the Cathleen and the volunteer pilots launched a recovery effort from a nearby world which had been captured by nearby Imperial forces. Designated as part of a temporary “Blue” Squadron, Damien fought alongside his fellow pilots, resulting in a successful recovery of the fighters and the subsequent assault on the Abolisher.

Covering the Y-wings for their direct assault on the Abolisher, Blue Squadron sustained heavy losses in their efforts, losing half of their number. Damien temporarily took command of Blue when the designated CO had been shot down, directing the screening efforts of the TIE interceptors from the Y-wings. The Abolisher had been destroyed by the Y-wings, forcing the Tormentor to flee in the face of superior Republic reinforcements. The decommissioning ceremony was soon carried out at Mon Calamari, where the efforts of the pilots and crew closed the chapter of the long and faithful service of the Cathleen.

Assignment to Blue Squadron:

Having transferred back into Blue Squadron, Damien’s first mission took him to the Mon Aquarra flying alongside the squadron CO Colonel Murdoch. Both of them encountered Lt. Tashira Dawn, the XO of squadron once aboard the Mon Aquarra. Damien volunteered to aid the maintainers on the A-wings, until all of the pilots were called into the briefing room. They were notified that all personnel would be returning to Roche for their next mission.
A brief close-combat training exercise aboard their transport would be a mere prelude to Blue’s newest tasking: Blue Squadron and the 42nd Support Operations Service Flight, led by Lt. Flavia Ran, would be sent via two Lambda-class shuttles to retake a Gallofree transport that had recently been hijacked by pirates.

The operation to retake the transport had begun with Col Murdoch, Damien, and Lt. Ran commandeering one shuttle, and Lt. Dawn on another. Landing aboard one of the Gallofree’s hangars, they encountered little resistance. Col Murdoch and Lt. Dawn split off to retake Ops with Lt. Ran. Damien was in charge of the engineering team and was reunified with Chief Tiera Olm. During this, he ran into his old Azure CO, Colonel Daren Mead, who now led the team to retake medical.

Encountering Flight Sergeant Harkus and his squad from the SOS team, Damien and Tiera began repair efforts, restoring vital ship systems and utilized the ship’s environmental systems against the Pirates in Operations to aid Lt. Dawn’s team. One last push by the pirates (who had been infected with a strange contagion that was being pumped into the life support system) into engineering threatened their efforts, but they were brushed aside and the restoration of the ship’s power, shielding, and engines was successfully accomplished, as well as the isolation of the contagion within the ship’s cargo hold.

Blue Squadron, her support crew, and the SOS team brought the Gallofree back to a nearby military station for further repair, crew additions, and re-supply. Damien spent much of his liberty with Tiera before both of them were recalled back to the ship. With Blue’s return to Roche to accept a new mission, who knows what challenges will await Damien Losator…

Character Name: Tiera Olm
Sex: Female
Species: Human
Age: 25
Homeworld: Chandrila in the Core Worlds
Rank: Flight Officer
Squadron: Blue Starfighter Maintenance Unit
Character Type: New Republic technician/engineer

Physical Appearance: Slender and slightly pale-skinned at five foot five inches tall, Tiera has brilliant hazel eyes and long dark brown hair. When not donning a New Republic standard issue jumpsuit, Tiera prefers to wear attire that is both comfortable and accents her natural beauty. (Note: on her first date with Damien, she wore a loose blouse and bared her mid-riff and a skirt dresses slit up the sides for ease of movement).

Objectives: To fight Empire in her own way, without use of violence and in a constructive manner. To one day meet someone who sees her inner charm and qualities.

Personality: Hard-working and determined, but very warm-hearted and friendly. She’s a little shy and traditional as far as Chandrilans go. She often regards herself as being old-fashioned. She is a devout pacifist, but will not stand aside and allow injustices to prevail.

Background:

Tiera Olm grew up in a small town far away from her homeworld’s capital of Hanna City. Her family raised Cracian Thumpers and like many Chandrilans were interested in planetary and galactic government. Tiera’s older brother became an aide for their town’s representative in Hanna City. Determined to veer away from politics, she spent her youth learning and working on her family’s repulsorlift transports.
With such extensive knowledge on landspeeders and airspeeders, Tiera applied to the Planetary School of Engineering once she graduated high school and was promptly accepted. She became qualified on many types of vehicles, to include space transports and even some starfighters.
During her time in the Engineering School, the Galactic Civil War continued to rage on between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant. Tiera believed in the Republic cause and wanted to be a part of it, but not necessarily on the front-lines. Being very pacifist, Tiera instead requested for a commission in the New Republic Starfighter Corps’ support unit. She was then commissioned as a Flight Officer in placed in charge of a starfighter repair unit.
After several assignments, Tiera settled in to the support unit of a Republic Outpost on Xian Shu, which was spearheading a global reconstruction effort to restore the world from its devastation during the Clone Wars. At one point, Tiera was involved in a serious relationship, one which soured and left her embittered for long period of time.
The E-Wing unit of Gold Squadron had arrived to combat pirate forces which had plagued the reconstruction effort. It was then when Tiera met Flight Officer Damien Losator, a starfighter pilot who hailed from Alsakan. Not long after their meeting and professional cooperation involving the planning of the unit’s starfighter repair schedule, the two of them hit it off and became romantically involved.
Once the pirate threat was eliminated, Tiera received orders to transfer to Blue Squadron where she would lead their starfighter repair unit. She and Damien were able to continue their relationship and the two of them remain a solid team.
