James Prostovich is a freelance illustrator working predominately in the science fiction fantasy realm. After a brief start in professional plein air painting (obtaining a coveted cover position on a local publication) he has switched gears to devote more time to work of his choice. Using four years experience in advertising graphic design and roughly four more in fiber-optic engineering, James brings the technical and commercial worlds of art together in an attempt to tell thoughtful stories with every image. Layout and design principles are of primary concern with his work, striving to replicate the principals of renaissance art in a modern genre.
