Here is a little sketch I did before I leave for work. If there are references to the discblade please let me know or I will be forced to be creative..lol.

Thanks for the vote of confidence...Looking from another computer at work. Head needs to be wider I think.
With Asok's comment, I concur.
Little color test..Looks like a Turner Classic Movie re-due. I have came to the conclusion that if anything will make the hard and take for ever it will be the serrated edges on the discs. So far happy though.
Holy Do-do...the Discblade WAY is not right...A friend just sent me a link. I am doomed
Like every picture you do, the level of detail is amazing. I love the sheen in the hair - perfect.

What's the idea you're having in mind for the Diskblades now?
I was thinking something like this: http://theforce.jaymach.com/images/Discblade.jpg
but if you have an idea for something better/more wookie, i'm definitely up for seeing what you have in mind
I was thinking something along The lines of the fourth pic, plus some of the same swirl pattern that will be on the belt and border of the cape. The damn things are huge...you would need to be a big barrel chested Wookiee to wield them, not like those flimsy-wimsy thing other races use. all hollowed out. Wussies
Dude, that is SICK! This looks amazing!

Little better color test. Trying out some different things to show color but not go to cartoony. Still want to change the Eye patch Add a belt, finish arm, add details to the blades...etc. Wish I was off today, could put this to bed. Off tomorrow though.
Amazing work, Casca!
Thanks Hish. Oddly enough, Hair takes forever but is super easy..just dark lines, med dark lines. med light then light. after that reverse back down to dark. Then a thin layer of light and shadow...I was suprised.
loving how he's coming out so far, though if you could add the torso(lower torso, not the chest armor) part of the stormtrooper armor, almost like a half-corset, that would be just awesome(if you've just not got there yet, ignore this haha)
also, love the diskblades so far, they look great and i'm sure once you add the details into them they're gonna be brutal looking, you've definitely gone the direction i wanted them to go
The storm trooper piece is already there, just isn't detailed in yet
Xan, Thats what I thought, Then I looked again. I did forget to put the stomach peice on. I am hoping that is what he was talking about. Will put that on all lickity-split.( kinda think it will take away from the over all meaness )
Today was not nearly as productive as I had hoped. Spent way to much time on the DiscBlade. ( there was much cussing ). The serrations are a bit beyond my patients level, sorry. Still think he looks tougher with-out the mid section armor.( IMO ). Work a few 10's in a row , so not to sure when I will get back on this. Tried to cheat on the back disc too, Looked like PooDoo. Anyway blade needs some shading to make it look sharp, need a new second disc, a belt and some touch ups. My eyes hurt and I have a callous, Whaaa...lol
No worries about the diskblades' serrations, as they are right now, I think they look outstanding. They have that heavy Wookie feel to them and definitely look capable of doing damage. If you're worried about them not looking "deadly" enough, maybe stick a few more blades/prongs on them? Like, instead of having only 4, have there be 6, or even 8? Personally I think they look fine, but extra killy wouldn't be complained about on my end.
Would it be possible to make his arms a little thicker? I've always picture Gauru as having somewhat of a body-builder's physique, very very top heavy with massive arms
So far, I'm loving this, after this has been completed, I may have a couple other characters for you to try your hand on. Assuming you'd be willing of course.
