Although no one is absolutely certain of Mazarin Foust's species, he is thought to be Ubese. There's little information to confirm or deny these rumors.

Here's a partial description of the character's personality, as described to me by a passing droid.

"He's mainly by himself most of the time, he's a loner. Mazarin is usually is in the shadows watching what people are doing and who he can either trick or manipulate. He's actually very pompus with most people, he knows he's better than most people. He's very intelligent and likes to show that off. He's very show-offish with his lightsabers. He's cloaked in his cape/cloak with his head exposed to show off his red dreadlocks. His posture shows very noble upbringing, so he has a very defined posture and attitude."
