Digging the helmet design! How'd you do that sick shading?

For the shading, I just draw shadows in black (and white for the highlights) on a separate layer and reduce opacity to 33%. Done :)
I agree, awesome helmet design. Like the color layout as well! Excellent work on the black leather shine effect, I think you've inspired me to create a character with a shiny black flightsuit now, thx!
