Tusserk
Member since: 2009Okay, so... this is kind of a request! But it goes way beyond the boundaries of a regular request, so I'm keeping it well out of the regular request forum, 'specially since I've got no idea what sort of response I'll get!
But here's the deal. Our campaign (that I've been thrilled to share with you guys here on SWAG through my own doodling) is rapidly drawing to its close; GM estimates maybe three sessions to wrap things up, which (player presence/absence pending) will probably take us just over a month to see through. I am hopelessly excited and a little bit anxious (especially after the bombshell of a revelation he dropped on us last session!), and am hoping to pull together something of a tribute to our awesome game for our final sess.
And I would be utterly, wholeheartedly HONOURED if any of you folk out here in SWAG-land (not just Guild members, but seriously anyone who wants to share a stick-figure or two!) would care to help me out. Part of me feels like it's kinda selfish to ask, since I CAN produce my own drawings, but when it comes down to it- a lot of you folk are leaps and bounds ahead of me, or are profusely better at different things, and quite frankly level of 'skill' aside (a concept which always makes me baulk a little at the best of times!) there is something truly and utterly wonderful about seeing the characters/stories you've created depicted by somebody else. That's true for me and my group, anyway- they ALL love the art!! And also, there's no way in the galaxy I'd be able to re-create every scene/character/memorable moment that I'd want to by the time our last session rolls around... but any amount of voluntary art sure would help get a little bit closer!
So that's my request, at the most basic level. :D Anyone want to create sometime for me and the squad? And most especially my husband, the GM, who is the one who's put COUNTLESS hours of preparation into this thing, while we players goof off and spill beer on the table? Reply or pm or whatever and we can enter into negotiations, and I will be FOREVER in your debt!

So if you've read that far, thanks already! Haha. But I know some folk out there do a little better inspiration-wise when they have SOME idea of the potential characters/scenes up for illustration. The first thing I'd suggest is a little poke through my gallery, the Force knows I've done a fair chunk of drawings over the years! If you see any character/scenario that piques your interest let me know and I can give you more info!
Core Members of the Squad (ie those of us who've been around from start to finish):
Tusserk Antilles, Male Trandoshan. Alderaanian noble, then (undercover as) Imperial Stormtrooper, demolitions and heavy weapon specialist, then Jedi- from secret Padawan to Master.
Lonar'Anar, Male Twi'lek. Politician/nobility on Ryloth, sold into slavery, enlisted in the Imperial army, turned rebel, Major of House Organa and Grey Paladin.
'Toaster', nickname given to male-designated protocol/war droid hybrid (known as X1E7) and also Shard Jedi Knight/Emperor's Hand (known as Shan Xe). His personality algorithm has been downloaded and copied into so many bodies now, not to mention the original silicon-based-rock-life-form being handed from one droid chassis to the next... I honestly don't know how his player keeps track of who he actually IS anymore!!!
Nimeq Viith, Female Zabrak. Soldier from Iridonia, later part of a freelance mercenary band, then enlisted in the Imperial army, exceptionally capable surgeon, took on some teachings of the Witches of Dathomir, turned rebel and loyal freedom fighter under employ of House Organa. Now deceased.
Cora, Female Zeltron [Nimeq's player's replacement character]. Assassin specialising in poisons. Hired by House Organa to eliminate threats to Tusserk's life.
Klopan Vinrax, Male Ryn. Born into circus life but ended up a petty criminal. Eventually enlisted in Imperial Army. Selfish, rogue dark side user; but followed the squad when they turned rebel. Self-professed Pirate King. Now deceased.
Shara Thy, Female Togruta [Klopan's player's replacement character]. Snotty Alderaanian rich-kid. Clone Wars trivia buff and champion martial artist. Bullied her way into the squad; Bail Organa was sick of dealing with her!
Temporary PCs:
Trys Fey'Kria, Female Bothan. Alderaanian noble, freedom fighter, sorta-kinda Tusserk's romantic interest. Now deceased.
Veshaan Hardouin, Male Duros. Genius mechanic, master improvisor. And possibly a member of the Black Sun.
Kit Sirrus, Female Amaran. Antarian Ranger, hopelessly idealistic master of disguise, served for a while as Lonar's bodyguard.
Noteable NPCs:
Omega, Male Clone. The squad's immediate supervisor during our early days, who over time has fought with us, against us, killed our members and been very nearly killed BY our members, been tortured alongside us, followed orders to spy on us, and now appears to be back with us for our final hurrah. GM loves this guy!
Kieran Gejjen, Male Human. Jedi Knight, Tusserk's Master. Has a TREMENDOUS history throughout our game; the shining knight who Tuss followed to the darkest corners of the galaxy and back again.
Ruttager, Male Ranat. Surly teenager who attached himself to Klopan, and has been an enormous source of both awe and friction within the squad. Took over Klopan's 'pirate empire' when he died.
Umwaw Naduun, Male Ithorian. Enigmatic Jedi Master who over the course of the game gently prodded various characters in the directions he wished them to follow. Lonar loves this guy.
Attichuk and Huurghalla, Mother-and-son wookiee duo who have been with the squad a looong time! Attichuk is old, smelly, cantankerous and was a stim junkie. Huurgy is huge, powerful, believes he owes Tusserk a blood debt and became Tusserk's first non-force-sensitive Padawan.
Kwazi, Male Devaronian. Brilliant young mechanic, who suffered terribly when X1E7's programming backfired on him. Now a scarred old technophobic nutter. Klopan was quite fond of him.
The Doctor. An uncharacteristically altruistic Hutt (with a monocle, a lab coat and a robotic arm) whom the squad befriended in their early days, and continue to visit for advice and assistance.
Diege, Male Zygerrian. Badass Grey Paladin who took on Lonar as a student.
**DARTH LIVIDICUS! Male Human. Oh man how could I forget this guy? One of the major antagonists later in our game, who I've been seriously unhappy with every time I've attempted to draw. He's tall, super charismatic, very good at swaying people in favour of the Empire; supposed to look something like Robert Downey Jr. but with Matt Smith's hair.
Now, those are just some of the major ones who've made frequent appearances in our game, and excludes all the canon characters that we've featured (most notably Palpatine, Vader, Bail Organa, Captain Antilles, and Qui-Gon's ghost). There are COUNTLESS more, and if there's a specific species/occupation/alignment/creature/whatever that you've really got an inkling to draw, please ask! There's a good chance it's featured SOMEWHERE in our game, haha. There's scenes to satisfy every taste- romance (okay, not a LOT of romance...), drama, action, mystery, countless landscapes, cities, vehicles, monsters, pets, pop culture references, imagined species. The vast majority of our sessions, no matter how serious the content gets, carry an undertone of humour, and sometimes we're utterly slapstick absurd. Or if it strikes your interest more... plenty of silly 'gamer' moments that are fondly remembered that might make for entertaining art, too! (Like frequent interruptions courtesy of our cats, grapes with dog faces drawn on rolling around the table and annoying the crap out of the GM, pausing mid-super-serious battle to eat My Little Pony cookies, Lonar battling a plastic seal, creating 'clown cars' out of vehicle minis...)

Anyone who's read through all that deserves a medal! And just so you know, I am MORE than up for 'trades' - ie, I'll draw you WHATEVER if you'll draw us SOMETHING. :D I'm just putting this out there, because I love you guys, love this community, love my game, and want to do something special for the group. Thanks IMMEASURABLY for your time!
Tusserk.
I think I'm down for this. I especially love the Wookiee mother-son duo. Might just have to give it a go... But I want a Tusserk original of my D&D/MOTU crossover character - Merman!
Boshuda
It's a deal, my good man! Thanks for offering your services! :D
Attichuk and Huurgy, hahahaa. They're faaaairly open to interpretation; haven't been many depictions of them thus far.
Attichuk is short but broad- was really gross and mangy when we first found her, but Nimeq spent a lot of time bathing and grooming her so it's up to you just HOW mangy you want to go! Standard brown fur, done up into a topknot at the top of her head, wears a little vest/waistcoat thing, and wields a weapon that looks suspiciously like a Halo grav-hammer...
Huurghalla is tall, fit and muscular. Dark fur, feel free to throw in a liberal amount of braids! Has been known to carry a bowcaster, but I don't think we've ever seen him use it... he prefers to grapple AT-STs to the ground with his bare hands.
I'm pretty sure they love one another, but I can recall several times when one has beat the other up for one reason or another.
MERMAN. YEAH! Go ahead and pm any details you want me to take into consideration, or even set a scene... or just reply here. It's my thread and I'll derail it if I want to!
You can see my picture of Merman here. As for his setting a scene... he's a cleric who does a lot of healing with his wooden trident-shaped holy symbol. He walks slowly through dangerous situations and is fond of pointing out: "There's danger afoot!" He likes water spells, like obscuring mist, which has been used to great effect (though it also incidentally burned a tavern to the ground).

This is so cool! I am keen if I can get a moment aside from the current requests...
Oh, Mercy!! :D Noooo pressure at all in the slightest, but you KNOW I'd be honoured (as would all the squad!) if you did ANYTHING for us at all! <3
Aw, you're just so sweet Tussy! And you've kept us all so amused with the Squad's antics - I feel a sadness as the epicry draws to a close too... Now I just have to decide what to draw!!!
Blog up HERE!
I am SO EXCITED seeing that sketch, Mercy!!! D'ya get my comment regarding Omega?
Yup! Keen as mustard, girl!
